PROGRESS AND BUSINESS FOUNDATION (PBF), Poland |
| Founded in 1991, the Progress and Business Foundation grew out of recognition on the part of the industry and academia of the new needs and circumstances of the free market economy in Poland. Its supervising body is the Polish Ministry of Science and Information Technology. The Foundation manages a network of over 300 highest quality consultants, lecturers, and tutors, of various disciplines and among others its multidisciplinary activities comprise the implementation of scientific, research, technological and commercial European and national projects and studies. | Its recognised position in the international network of development agencies and other organisations including the European Commission (European Science and Technology Observatory, DG JRC, DG Energy), UNIDO, etc. Among others PBF is an Associated Member of ESTO (European Science and Technology Observatory (esto.jrc.es), a network of research and consultancy organization, which supports the decision-making processes of the European Commission managed by the IPTS - Joint Research Centre of the EU in Seville) and an institutional member of the EARMA (European Association of Research Managers and Administrators). Moreover, the Foundation offers its expertise in foresight and forecasting to the governmental and local administration authorities involved in the elaboration of Regional Innovation Strategies, industrial companies that may wish to benefit from technology foresight studies, and to inter- and supranational institutions and organisations. |
